After extensive trail time in summer temps, it became clear we can do better, and we did. Here we release the newest version of the Alta 5”, the ultra breathable Alta Light.

The Alta Light is updated to have a 4-way stretch with micro perforation on the front body and through the back yoke to enhance air flow and keep you cooler when temps rise. The seat of the short continues to utilize the light weight and durable nylon 4 way stretch with water-resistant finish. This helps the back of the short to hold up under any unique strain or abrasion.

Keeping with all the same functional features of the original Alta 5”, it maintains its attributes of being our top performance trail run short, but now lighter.

In combination with a lightweight moisture wicking brief liner, short 5” inseam and extended-slit notched hem, the flat jacquarded elastic single-ply waistband with internal drawstring delivers the perfect fit and comfort of the short. The YKK zip back pocket provides a stable hold, and is lined with a waterproof coated fabric to protect the contents. The back side pockets are for on-the-go fuel/gels/snacks or a great place to pack out trash you find on the trails.

The flat jacquarded elastic single-ply waistband with internal drawstring enhances the perfect fit and comfort of the short. The specifically placed Ykk zipper back pocket provides a stable hold, and is lined with a waterproof coated fabric to protect contents from sweat and any weather you may deal with. The back side pockets are the perfect depth to store on-the-go fuel/gels/snacks or a great place to pack out trash you find on the trails.

The fabric is also fast drying, typically 4x faster than a typical cotton tee. The Serrano 8” short is the longest and most relaxed short in the line. Designed with an athletic and functional intent, the short is also just as functionally built for a run to the coffee shop.
Constructed from a lightweight Repreve® recycled polyester 4 way stretch, the fabric is finished with a DWR to enhance the short with a water-resistant finish. Repreve® is a market leader in recycling used water bottles into fibers to renew into fabrics. Unlined and lightweight, the short is an elastic waist style which is stabilized by an interior jacquarded elastic with a drawstring. Front slash pockets and a side zip pocket are all lined with mesh to encourage breathability and drainage if the short does end up in the water. The back patch pocket is meant to keep your good secure with the YKK zip closure.
From the trail to the coffee shop, the Serrano is the everyday and every event short we come to live in.
